There are only 12 days left to get your Christmas lists crossed off, which still leaves enough time to skip the big box retailers and put something together fashioned from your creative self.
I admit I have only made one gift so far this season, but after my BFF and I curated this awesome list of 25 homemade gifts, I’ve added to my holiday ‘to-do’ list with a few more. Here are some of my favorites from The Creative Mama Homemade Gifts Pinterest board:
I paid good money for one of these at a local retailer and after my sister admired it a few times, I’ll be making her one. It saves me money and I get to choose exactly the color I want for her – a brushed metallic gold.
These belts are so inexpensive to make – I won’t tell if you won’t. My sister and I are like twins – if she has one, I’m going to need one. I’m planning to make her one or two and myself one (or three), too.
I know it’s not Halloween, but what kid doesn’t like a superhero cape year round? I already whipped out four of these for my kids and my nephews, they are easy and inexpensive to make.
I adore this idea – a DIY fort kit. It comes with everything a kid needs to build a fort in his bedroom, back yard or right in your living room. Simple, inexpensive and you may already have everything you need.
I usually make or bake treats for our friends and neighbors and I’m planning on trying out this peppermint bark to see if it makes the grade.
Soaps and scrubs are another easy homemade gift that your girlfriends will love. I’m a sucker for anything striped so I find this peppermint striped soap darling and festive.
Kids will love making these snow globes for their grandparents or friends. Save a few jam or applesauce jars and pick up the figurines at Goodwill.
Dad or grandpa will adore a handkerchief personalized by little hands.
