We never knew each other back then, but wouldn’t you know it, photography brought us together over a decade later and…  Dear Creative Mama family, I thought some of you may enjoy reading a brief overview of how we adopted our daughter. I know for us, before we entered into the crazy world of adoption, we felt pretty overwhelmed and totally unsure of what to expect. And, it seems like adoption is such an intriguing thing… I am so proud of you for pushing your creativity! Just looking at the submissions this week makes my heart happy. I was actually surprised at how many of you were trying back light and silhouettes (almost every submission!), which tells me that you’re used to shooting front light or sidelight normally. Now, doesn’t it…  As spring approaches I am loving quick and easy meal options that give my family more time for play and less time in the kitchen. Here is one of my favorite go-to recipes. With a two-year-old son and a growing business, my physical self has frequently taken a back seat to everything else in my life over the last few years.
