About The Creative Mama.

We are coming upon the wee little five month blog-iversary (giddy dance around floor). This little something I dreamt about doing came to be, and in the five short months it has “been around” I’ve been blessed to meet so many amazing women around the globe! Thank you to each of you, lurkers and active participants alike. I thought I might change things up a tad today, and give you a little glimpse into me. Nothing fancy (I live quite a normal-not-that-exciting life), but nonetheless, here we go.

Some stats about The Creative Mama | aka: Angie.

1. I am a mama (bet you didn’t see this one coming!) Our first was born during my absolute fave time of year (Christmas), and our second came right smack on my birthday, and what a gift he is. Oh how i love them so.

2. My husband and I are high school sweethearts. I wrote a bit about how we met here.

3. My parents are missionaries, so growing up we traveled a lot. By the time I was a sophmore in highschool I had attended nine different schools.

4. I’m a fraidy-cat. Can’t watch scary movies, and don’t enjoy the news.

5. I heart Nicholas Sparks. I own every one of his books and keep them in order of release. Often times I’ll pull out a fave and re-read it, just to fall in love with the characters and story over. and over. and over…

6. I was named oh so lovingly after the Rolling Stones song (ahem, Angie). Not only does my dad sing the song to me often, we danced to it at my wedding.

7. I collect tea cups. Beautiful, delicate cups and saucers. Love, love, love them.

8. Vacuuming is fun. I know, I’m strange – ’nuff said.

9. I hate to fly and would willingly drive cross country instead.

10. On a daily basis I typically: change diapers, wash hands, make food, try to shower, yell and lose my cool, realize I need more patience, give lots of loves and cuddles, ask for forgiveness often, change more diapers, make more food, walk the dog, and love the Lord. Wouldn’t change a single bit of it for anything.

    what dont you know about me? we’ve talked for 1 1/2 years! okay i will try a list of five.
    1. i love soccer played soccer for 17 years!
    2. i secretly am happy i dont have time to clean my house
    3. i hate flying and would love it if there was a bridge from
    the us to europe
    4. somedays i wish i was a stay at home mom but am also
    greatful for the break work gives me

    If I were to make a list of 10 things about me, it would change daily.
    Here is today’s me.
    1. drawing a blank…..
    I can’t even think of one thing about me today, other than kind of icky feeling, the weather stinks, I got up too early, I’m hungry, feeling fat, headache is coming on. Ugh…ask me tomorrow. Maybe I will have a better attitude. blah!

    I can’t watch scary movies either, however I would most definitely chose to fly somewhere rather than drive. Here are three things about me. 1. I like to take pictures, because I can hide behind the camera. 2. My two favourite books are To Kill a Mockingbird and Such is My Beloved. 3. I often find 4-leaf clovers, and send them to people for good luck.

    I sooo get the vacuum fun! :) I love to vacuum and am often teased about it. My husband and I dated for 6 years before we got married almost 3 years ago. I would love kids, but for now we cant, I also hope to adopt in the future. A really random fact, I had my first kiss on my wedding day. I am obsessed with shabby chic. I am always thinking…oooo, I can paint it white and distress it! :)I tend to take on way to many projects and take forever to finish them. I have to either crochet or knit every day. I also just started this quilting group that quilts for wounded soldiers. I am learning to quilt because I have an addiction to fabric.

    I would love to see pictures of your beautiful tea-cups! :) Tea-cups are so special. I didn’t know you did Etsy! So cool! I added you to my favorite sellers!

    ok ang, “You asked for it you got it…toyota!”..(wow- i am sooo showing my age, old commercial jingle!) well here is my “list”-
    i am ticklish on my elbow, love taking pics (wanna be angie when I grow up), cut myself shaving when i was 2 yrs. old(seriously), wish I had pretty feet (check my blog..not kidding), die hard romantic, love to walk on the beach, cry every time at Kodak commericals, wish i looked like catherine zeta-jones, and love to brush my hubby’s hair!! This was so fun! btw did i mention love, love, love, Matthew Mc canahey’s (sp?) voice!

    My husband is West-African; we speak French & English at home; I have 6 ys university in the field of education & husband is a teacher but we homeschool; I strongly dislike bugs and heat; have tons of allergies including to grass:(
