Our desktop computer used to reside on…  This is the last week of school in our house and we are ready. We are ready to trade in the structure of the school year schedules and to-do lists for something a little more flexible and a little more fun. Next week, the kids and I will kick off the end of the school…  When we first started homeschooling, I had this picture in my head of days curled up on the couch reading books, afternoons building castles and drawbridges at the kitchen table and the weekly field trip to see something interesting and to get us out of the house. Three years later, the picture (on most days)… I’m in the middle of spring cleaning, but I’m not scrubbing floors or toilets. At our house, spring cleaning means more clearing out the clutter of the past year than soap and water cleaning. It is clearing out the old, stagnant stuff, to let the fresh, renewing spirit of spring in. Start With The Kitchen…  This past month has been an incredible time in my blogging career. God has opened doors I’d never even imagined. Exciting opportunities have been coming my way. New blogs, new projects, consulting opportunities, conferences, chances to become partners with awesome people…all good stuff. What I need to remember now is that not all good things…  The beginning of a new year always gets me in the mood to organize. The idea of clean and orderly are so appealing after the chaos that is the holiday season. Each January, I want to work through my house organizing everything from the kitchen cabinets to my make-up drawer. The only problem is that… One of my goals as a creative mama, especially at this time of year, is to make sure my kids realize their blessings. The weeks before Thanksgiving are perfect to focus our attention on being truly grateful. Of course, we read about the pilgrims and the first thanksgiving. We talk about how God has blessed…
