There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. -Albert Einstein
Though my ever-existing desire remains the same: to serve the Lord, be the best mama I can be, to love my husband with every fiber of me, to be there for each of my friends 100%… I can’t help but realize I’m only human. We are all simply human. We can do our best, yet only give so much of ourselves before we become unable to give anything.
Do you ever feel this way?
As woman, daughters, mothers, friends, role models – we are constantly pulled in one direction or another (or so it feels often times!). The car breaks down, you have to take a pay cut, the woman at the grocery store cut in front of you in line. Life can be interesting to say the least! Do you ever just sit back and consciously put it all on the back burner? Put your to-do list away, close up your computer, embrace the moment as it is? The quiet few minutes before the kids wake up, the post baking disaster, the joy in your husband’s good golf score? These moments are incredible miracles. the sheer fact that we get to experience even the stress of our “roles” or the noise of our homes – how blessed are we??
I know often times I allow the negatives to pop out of a could-be positive. I choose to see something as frustrating or inconvenient, instead of the miracle it is! I would urge you to see the miracle in your day today, remember we only get this day once. Embrace it and make it amazing!
