According to Clickin Moms

We are a community of women who have a passion for photography. Some of us are amateur photographers who just want to take better pictures of our family, some of us are hobbyists, and some of us are seasoned pros.

We learn from each other and help each other. We have all types of cameras, but most of us are working on our skills with our DSLR’s. If you are in the market for a new camera, please ask our advice for body and lens recommendations!

This is a safe place to share your photos and chat about photography. Our forums and galleries are closed to non-members. All members must register through this site and Paypal, which makes it a more secure place than some of the free photo sites.

I’d love to connect with other photographers. I spent 16 years in a dark cave of loneliness as a professional photographer. In the last three years I’ve come so far mostly because of the photographer friends I’ve met online! Mad skills are being developed.

I would love this! I took a photography class over 10 years ago and am so out of practice. I don’t remember a thing from the class.

  • Amie Hansen

I really enjoyed Clickin moms when I was a member but for financial reasons I had to stop using it for awhile. I love all of the support, suggestions, tutorials that each photographer gave out. It is a great support system. I look forward to joining again in the future.

Would love to win this – mostly so I could actually learn to use my camera. I love to take pictures but don\’t really know much about the how or why behind it.

  • http://www.penn-fam.blogspot.com Missy

I would LOVE to be a part of Clickin Moms. Why you ask? Well, first of all I’m an avid photographer. I take an average of 300 photos per month! I’m just an amateur, but quite an enthusiast. Secondly, I have THE BEST subjects in my three children, comical family and the glorious outdoors of the Smoky Mountains, where I live. Finally, I JUST ordered my first DSLR camera and it arrives TOMORROW~! Can you tell I’m excited? I’m nervous, too and hope I to get advice and feedback from others like me.

Thank you for the offer -

Wow, this would be sooo great! I have a great camera and three super-cute kids. I do okay, but would love to learn more about my camera…and maybe some tips for keeping these little ones still for 2 seconds :)

  • Dixie

I would LOVE this!! What better way to learn more about photography than from a group of dedicated, supportive women. I need to get better at capturing my always-on-the-move 1 year-old grandson…I’m missing a lot of great shots.

  • http://www.rutledgephotography.com Jennifer

I would *love* a subscription to Clickin Moms! I know there is ton of inspiration and tutorials there to be soaked up!

  • http://www.liftupyourhearts.com Emily

I would really enjoy taking part in this board!! I’m an amateur/aspiring professional photographer and can always improve my game!

  • Heather Papolos

WOW – what an amazing give-a-way! I would cherish this gift for what it really is. . . a place to be inspired, encouraged, and supported in ways that only other photographers can do for each other. It never fails that when I’m in a creative rut. . . chatting with a {rare and precious} photographer friend renews my passion. I’d love to meet more of those kinds of friends and learn from each other along the way!

  • http://www.dlifeful.com Daisha Sheets

I have wanted to join ClickinMoms since I found out about it a year ago. But finances being the way they are… I can\’t justify paying the subscription while my family doesn\’t get to eat meat or veggies at every meal. :)

As a photographer, I know that the forums about techniques will guide me to be a stronger photographer. And the galleries will inspire me to continue capturing the precious moments and interactions between loved ones.

This would be wonderful. I would love to learn how to get those really bright wonderful pictures and how to really work Photoshop Elements.

  • http://www.simplysmilesphotography.com Lyndee Rodgers

I feel so stagnant lately. I’m not sure if it’s the weather and everything looking so dead outside, or if I’m just exhausted after chasing my 2 year old twins around, but I am in a serious funk. A subscription to Clickn Moms would definitely be a highlight and be something I would greatly appreciate right about now!

  • http://www.lifeasyouliveit.com stacey

me & my camera + new clickn moms subscription = images that rock harder :)

  • http://www.beansblessings.blogspot.com Mindy

As a previous winner of a Clickin Moms subscription I want to thank The Creative Mama and Clickin Moms again for giving me the opportunity to be part of this awesome community of photographers! I LOVE being part of Clickin Moms and find a wealth of useful information and encouragement every time I am there.

Oh I would love some inspiration and creative ideas and Clickn Moms looks just perfect for that! What an amazing giveaway.

  • Melissa

I would love a free subscribtion to Clickin Moms! I am a newbie photographer and have been trying to learn techniques and could really use a great forum with other photographers i can learn from!

  • http://www.landesinokinawa.blogspot.com Karen

I think the tutorials will be great but I’m also interested in the photo critiques. I’m currently in a photography class that has all sorts of people in it and I feel that my focus on children’s photography is drowned out by the others more ‘artistic’ (non child) shots destined for a gallery opening. Although it woud be great to have my kids shots in an art show my aim is to have them on display in people’ homes.

  • Teresa

I would love to have someone to motivate me to experiment more with the different settings on my dslr and to offer constructive criticism of my photos.

  • Chelsea

I would love love the tutorials I’m always looking for way to learn more! :)

  • Tracy

  • http://heathergwood.blogspot.com/ Heather (heathergw)

I would love to win the membership… Since moving I don’t have close friends to chat about photography with nor encourage each other to improve… I’d love a community where I can find that again.

First, I never win anything so the excitement would be almost enough! However, I would love to learn from others and share my love of photography with women/mothers that have a passion for what I hold close to my heart. Fingers crossed…..

  • http://mtn-mama.blogspot.com The Rancher’s Wife Kate

Today I packed my 4 year old and 2 year old into our Dodge Durango, and headed down our dirt road. The snow was falling, and I knew the lighting would be just perfect. I could hardly see the road due to the amount of snow. I screeched on my brakes when I saw the most beautiful trees and fences. I heaved my 34 week pregnant body out of the car, and started trudging through the snow in my bogs. It was exhilarating to take photos of the beauty all around me. You see I live on a ranch out in the middle of nowhere, and on my way to town I found beauty. I am trying to start a photography business called The Rancher\’s Wife\’s Photography. I had to laugh today while I was literally lying in the snow trying to capture sage brush with snow on it while maneuvering my belly so that I could get low enough! :) I would love an opportunity to improve my skills. I live in an extremely rural area which does not offer alot of information about photography. Still I am extremely passionate about it, and plan to try to continue to inspire my rural community to see the beauty all around them. I am going to try to sell some prints at a local art gallery in town. I just had my first newborn session in town, and I have had a few more calls from it! I would love to join a community of clickinmoms who love photography as much as I do.

Truth? I can feel my confidence behind the camera slipping away as I bury myself in being a mom. The support of a Clickin Moms membership could be the boost I need to keep at it – it’s something just for me and I don’t want to lose that.

  • http://www.myteachershop.com Kate

I have been trying to take professional looking pictures at home but have been getting frustrated. I think Clickin Moms is just the support I need to get back on track.

I’ve heard about this website many times. I bought a DSLR camera just over a year ago and am still trying to figure it all out. I’m sure the info on Clickin Moms would be just what I need to take me to the next level in using my camera. Thanks for the opportunity to win a great prize.

  • Shelly

I would love this because I’m a ‘new’ photog with a new dslr and I have no idea how to use it! I”ve also got 4 little models to help hone my skills too!!! I would rock the playgroup photo sessions here in Vegas!

  • http://recoveringfirecracker.squarespace.com/ Trude

Although I’m not a mom, I’d be welcome, right?? :) I would love info on the business. I feel like I’ve hit a wall as to free online specifics about finally making the leap, so it’s time I invested!

  • Elizabeth

My husband just bought me an SLR as an anniversary gift – but I haven’t a clue how to use it. I would love to get in on this action…. My 10 months old is already too fast to portrait, I would love some help!
