Every mama needs to be pampered once in a while but we often don’t have time (and money!) to spend a day at the spa. My suggestion?  Grab a few ingredients from your kitchen and lock yourself in your bathroom for a luxurious hour in your home spa.

Moisturizing Facial Mask

  • 2 tablespoons yogurt (preferably plain)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons cooked & cooled oatmeal

Mix all three ingredients together until it forms a paste. Cover your face with the mask and let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes. Rinse.

Sugar Body Scrub

  • 1/2 c – brown sugar
  • 1/2 c – raw sugar
  • a couple shakes of cinnamon
  • a couple drops of vanilla
  • pour olive oil over the above ingredients

Mix all four ingredients together.  Use to spread all over your body and gently exfoliate.  Rinse.

Body Oil

  • olive oil
  • water
  • small squirt bottle

Mix equal amounts of olive oil and water in a small squirt bottle and shake it up.  Spray lightly over your body and rub in.

I have never been to a spa – it sounds glorious! However I do sneak those moments for myself and love to soak in the tub with gentle bath salts. I enjoy deep conditioning my hair, scrubbing my skin and almost daily use a pumice stone to keep my feet soft. I love soft feet.
