Want to learn how to live minimally and still beautifully? Francine Joy from miss minimalist tells us that it’s about eliminating the distractions that keep us from fully appreciating life. We welcome Francine Joy to The Creative Blogger Series.

My blog is about decluttering and minimalist living — in other words, living a beautiful life with less stuff.
I’ve been blogging since September 2009.
I started blogging as a creative outlet, and found it to be a fabulous way to talk about my passion (minimalist living) without driving my friends and family crazy. To be honest, I never expected to have more than a handful of readers. The response, however, was overwhelming – I couldn’t believe how many people were interested in paring down their lives.
I find inspiration *everywhere* — nature, philosophy, travel, and (mostly) everyday life. My posts range from the profound to the mundane: one day I’ll write about ancient Greek philosophy, the next about a castle I visited in Prague, the following about my sheets and towels. My brain seems hard-wired to find the minimalist angle in anything, so somehow it all comes together.

I blog for the sheer pleasure of it. Sharing thoughts on minimalist living with kindred souls brings me great happiness.
My inbox – it’s bursting with inquiries, ebooks, interview requests, etc. I’m certainly not complaining; it’s just a challenge sometimes to find time to *write*!
Oh, definitely the comments! My comments section has become a wonderful little community, with people sharing ideas, advice, and their own experiences. I learn so much from my readers!
Write about what you love. It’s incredibly motivating.
