We are just NOT a "drop-over" kind of house. My mom used to say, "I wouldn't let you in if you knocked," when our house was messy, and that definitely holds true for me as an adult, especially when work gets busy. Priorities shift and I need another dose of motivation! Many times I'll ask my 5yo son to help me clean up or rearrange, and he'll say, "Why? Are we having company?" haha Great article, Marci. My current motivation for cleaning AND organizing is that our church is now worshipping in our home...EVERY week! It has been great. These people are like my family, so I know things don't have to be spotless, but it provides motivation for putting things away right after we use them, cleaning up toys, etc. so I don't have to run myself ragged on Sunday mornings : ) Ahhh….motivation! My current motivation for cleaning AND organizing is that our church is now worshipping in our home…EVERY week! It has been great.
