I am So inspired! I LOVE this interview, and teh artist that he is. The fact that he does minimal edits because his shots are so close to perfect in camera inspires me to be a better artist.
Thanks for such a great interview :)

Jose’s message of being yourself, shooting what you see, and not trying to copy someone else’s style really resonated with me. I am amazed by his images and the fact that he shoots with film 100% of the time. Adjusting contrast and getting rid of blinks – now that’s smart editing!

I love that he uses film and also shoots with the Holga. It’s inspiring because I always get too scared to shoot film, thinking something will go wrong and I won’t know it until I develop.

I loved his passion when he said it was his way of life not a job. That is a goal many hope to achieve. Awesome.

I love that Jose encourages us to shoot the way we see the world rather than trying to mimic another’s style. :)

Thanks for featuring Jose – his words and work are just so refreshing! As photographers, we do need to strive to take pictures as we see the world, and not according to what others expect of us. Thanks again Jose!

I love his confidence! (Seems like a no-brainer, but it’s really not.) He shoots on film, with no editing later. Decides about b&w before-hand. 30-35 rolls!
It’s also nice to see a guy that LOVES love and couples, and probably follows weddings (magazines, fashion, trends, etc) to stay current. Is he single? Oh wait. I’m not. :) HEHE
