layla palmerI stumbled onto a couple of beautiful home-renovation/decorating blogs and I was instantly hooked! I had to have one!

layla palmerMother Nature and Father Time. The colors and textures found outdoors, and the items and patinas found in flea markets are what really get my pulse a-racin’!

layla palmerBecause it’s such a fun way to document our journey, and meet other folks with similar interests. Also, because I love writing and sharing photos & design ideas.

layla palmerProbably dealing with negative comments…and anything that has to do with coding or widgets. :-)

layla palmerThe most rewarding aspect has been that I get to work in the design field with my husband! (I never would have imagined that!) The other most rewarding aspect has been all the friends we’ve made. There’s such an amazing community of super-talented, caring and inspiring people out there!

layla palmerLike Nike says, JUST DO IT! :-) And have WAY TOO MUCH FUN with it!

layla palmer I read SO many different blogs, for so many different reasons. A lot of adoption blogs, because we’re entering into the adoption process. A lot of home blogs, because I love to see all the loveliness everyone is creating out there. I also read a lot of motivational and positivity type blogs because I just can’t seem to get enough of that kind of reading!

layla palmerWho knows! We’re definitely fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants type peeps, and one of our favorite things about blogging is that it’s a process of discovery- and there’s excitement in not knowing what you’re going to reveal about yourself, or your surroundings, from one day to the next!

layla palmerI do have an e-book available at LaylaPalmer.com. It’s called Creating An Inspired Home.

    Dear Layla,
Ooooooo! You girls are REALLY getting me here! How am I supposed to get my outside work done when I want to be shaking things up inside… my hubby is already on my tail about not having the garden in already… and he doesn’t much care what I have hanging on the walls!!!
