Color? I don’t really have a favorite.  But, I do love blue skies, the yellow of the coreopsis in my garden and the hazel-green of my son’s eyes.

Childhood memory? Every time my brother and I spent the night with my grandparents, my grandma would have some yummy treats ready for a special party before bed.  My brother and I would disappear into the kitchen with Grandma while Grandpa would stay in the living room watching TV.  We would prepare some delicious snack like crackers and cheese or ice cream sundaes and some sort of soda.  Then, we would bring it out to the living room on trays and announce it was time for Grandpa’s party.  I’m sure it made him feel special and it made my us feel special knowing that we had part in making the treats.

Dessert? cheesecake…should be the 6th food group

Guilty pleasure? Starbucks Mocha – I get mine with skim milk and whip just to balance it out :)

Book you have read? My favorite book lately that I keep going back to is Not So Fast by Ann Kroeker

TV Show? No time for TV!!!

Way to spend a Friday night? Grilling in the backyard with the neighbors and letting the kids run!

What are three words you would use to describe yourself? growing, dreaming, planning

Some random fact about you very few people know.
Before kids, I ran a research lab for a major university.  I’m a science geek at heart.

If you could have coffee with anyone famous (past or present) who would it be and why? Jesus.  I would love to have a face-to-face, heart-to-heart with my savior.  Maybe that would help me put life into perspective.

What or who gives you inspiration? Anything patriotic inspires me.  I am so blessed to live in a free, prosperous country.  I don’t want to take that for granted.  I want that privilege to inspire me.  My others inspirations are my kids.  They learn from me, so I am inspired to give them good material!

If you could share one bit of advice for your teenage self what would it be? Be yourself!  Make good choices based on what you know is right and wrong, not what everyone else is doing.
