My Favorite Things | July 2012

I thought I’d leave you to your weekend with a few of my favorite things from recent days.  Here’s what I’m loving…

…besides all the rain we’ve been getting here in Florida, of course.  We like to open our doors and watch the rain fall outside.  Some days the rain cools the temps for us, and other days it just adds to the already-stifling humidity.  Ahh, welcome to summer in the tropics!

I made Lila a couple of these simple but beautiful flowers to embellish her flip-flops.  Last night, my sweet daughter volunteered me to make them for the staff at our favorite restaurant.  Umm… I take it she loves them!  Emily has the greatest tutorials.

I really want a teepee.  I would share with my kids of course.  Maybe.

We started doing this in our house.  I’ve never seen children run so fast to pick up their toys before.  This could be wonderful…

I adore Target, I do.  Especially when something I’ve been eyeing goes on clearance.  Check out these markdown tips and shop wisely.

Have you signed up for this photography class yet?  How about this one?  Well then, what are you waiting for?  They both start on July 30.  Join here.  And here.

Speaking of photography education, TCM’s own Erin Cobb is speaking at the BlograpHER Event in NYC!  We are thrilled for her ~ Congrats Erin!  Now I really wish I was going.

I am aching to try some of this cold-brewed coffee concentrate.  Her packaging is adorable too.  And it tastes like chocolate?  Oh yeah, I need a case or two… at least.

Definitely making a note to buy lots of peaches at the farmer’s market this weekend, if only because I want to try Alison’s recipe and Bree’s recipe too.  Mmmm.

Terribly addicting.  That’s all I have to say.

I would love a print of this to hang in Parker’s room.  Can you guess these Lego sets?  (These are the kinds of lego men we had growing up, lol!)

How fun is this??  Must make!  Just as long as Lila doesn’t ask me to make them for the restaurant staff too.

White + camera = so my style.

Face-mapping.  Such a fascinating concept.  Find out why you’re breaking out in the same areas over and over.  I can attest to a few of these myself!

Shawna posted about this watercolor sketch artist a few days ago.  I’m already obsessed with watercolor these days, so I was immediately drawn in.  What a wonderful gift to give any mama!

Lovely typography and font resource.  I’m always smitten by beautiful typography.  Sometimes I purchase things that I totally don’t need, just because I like their branding and labels.  Anybody else do that??

What are your favorites from this list?

Have an inspired, relaxing and creative weekend, friends!
