We are excited to be partnering with the lovely Ashley Skjaveland this morning. She is a gifted newborn photographer, and as open and generous as they come. Her organic, natural newborn photographs are exquisite, and are simply about the babies themselves. A celebration of life and beauty.

Ashley offers a lovely workshop of sorts. NEWBORN: a mentor series for photographers is a unique learning experience that combines online session videos, tutorials, written instructions and even beautiful booklets that are handmade in Ashley’s studio.
If you would like to perfect your own newborn photography work, or simply watch another newborn photographer in action, then this series is most certainly what you’ve been searching for. From personal experience (I have both Chapters), I find NEWBORN to be indispensable. And… the handmade elements that Ashley sends in the mail are such a beautiful bonus!
NEWBORN is a series that builds on itself… so you must own Chapter One before you’re eligible to purchase Chapter Two.
Ashley is offering The Creative Mama readers a chance to own BOTH chapters by entering below….
All TCM readers are also entitled to a discount on NEWBORN: Chapter One and NEWBORN: Chapter Two, through the evening of July 28.

Kristen M - My words of advice is take it one day at a time and enjoy it as much as you can!
Sabrinakoogler - My advice for a new momma is to listen to and trust your own instinct.
Jennifer - Best advice? Go with your gut & stop listening to everyone else, it’s probably right. Oh, and remember to rest when the baby does! If your house goes to pot, it’s ok – you can deal with it later.
Sara - my advice to a new mama would be to take time to be in awe of your newborn…all the tiny details that are so perfectly made.
Erika - My advice would be to take as many photos as possible because they grow way too fast!
R Steed - Best advice would be to sleep when the baby does. Like actually DO IT!! We all hear that but don’t always do it!!
Sally S. - My advice would be make sure not to forgot to take care of yourself, sometime the new mama can get lost in the new excitement of the baby.
Deanna - Find the best natural light in your house and use it to your advantage!
Tyan - My advice would be to not expect yourself to be super mom right away. We don’t get to be great at something overnight, so be gentle with yourself and I promise it will come!
Sharlene Britton - My advice would be trust your instincts, you’ll be surprised how much you already know!
April - My advice would be… not to listen to everyone’s advice! LOL Trust your heart, you know your baby better than anyone else.
Melt003 - My advice would be to slow down and enjoy your baby, they don’t stay little for long.
Amanda Bruce - My advice is to take a deep breath, trust your instincts, and don’t worry about being super mom!
Michelle - My advice for new mamas is be easy on yourself. Don’t expect to do everything perfectly all the time.
Lauren - Advice for a new mom? Soak up every moment! (and swaddle swaddle swaddle!)
Allyson - My advice for a new mama… Enjoy each moment, even those hard nights, because they grow up in the blink of an eye!
ChristineB - As cliche as it is… enjoy every second because they grow up in a blink of an eye.
Jen - Advice for a new Mama…cut your self some slack!! Don’t expect to have the house clean when people show up at your door – just smile and ask them to fold some laundry.
Kim - You’ll never be perfect, but you are in your baby’s eyes.
Heather :) :) :) - I’d tell new mama’s to take it easy and enjoy their new little one. Don’t worry about someone else’s timeline.. Just take life one day at a time and enjoy the new little one
Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather
Kimberly Loxtercamp - Snuggle, snuggle, snuggle!
