Nourishing the gift of friendship.

c-74-of-74

In each of my friends there is something that only some other friend can fully bring out. By myself I am not large enough to call the whole man into activity. – CS Lewis

I loved the feedback from Kindred-Spirit Friendships earlier this week. It got me thinking however, that while we should be nourishing those precious relationships, it’s important to not only acknowledge but encourage our other friendships.

I believe that each person in my life is there for a reason. Whether they are a friend for a season, or a lifetime – I am able to take something from that. A few months with someone may equal to a lifetime of moments, if you are open. I’ve been blessed enough to experience such a thing with an amazing woman recently, who now lives half way across the world. In each of my friendships, I am given gifts. For different reasons, each of these women are able to bring something out in me that I treasure, and together we have unique and wonderful memories.

Just as seedlings need water to grow, so do the relationships in our lives. I hope you’ll take the time to treasure each of your friends. Know that they are in your life to serve a purpose, though that purpose may simply be for you to bless them.

What amazing thing has a friend done for you lately? Do you tell him or her enough how much you treasure them? Happy weekend all, can’t wait to read your thoughts – OH and look out next week for a fun new download, Ciao!

Well, I’ll just say this, a certain creative mama, has played an important part during this “season” of my life. I have grown so much in the past few months since finding this blog. Though we have never met in person, and our paths may never cross on this earth, beyond the internet. I KNOW one thing is for sure ,that when I get to Heaven, your face is one of the few that I will be looking for ( after Jesus, of course). :) Your words of encouragement and inspiration have been a great support during a lonely time in my life. THANK YOU! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU!

From “the one” that lives half way around the world, I’ve lived my life “in transition” and never really sure where God will lead in the next moment…so I have learned to cherish very unique souls and friendships that God has put along my path. Learning to live in the moment is never an easy thing, but being able to live in the moment have helped me to cherish friendships like I’ve had with Angie, whether for a month, or half-way around the world! Love you, Angie….

I love it! So, so true! I also believe that what you speak about above can become one of those Kindred-spirit friendships! I don’t believe that you just have one. Have a blessed weekend!
