In each of my friends there is something that only some other friend can fully bring out. By myself I am not large enough to call the whole man into activity. – CS Lewis
I loved the feedback from Kindred-Spirit Friendships earlier this week. It got me thinking however, that while we should be nourishing those precious relationships, it’s important to not only acknowledge but encourage our other friendships.
I believe that each person in my life is there for a reason. Whether they are a friend for a season, or a lifetime – I am able to take something from that. A few months with someone may equal to a lifetime of moments, if you are open. I’ve been blessed enough to experience such a thing with an amazing woman recently, who now lives half way across the world. In each of my friendships, I am given gifts. For different reasons, each of these women are able to bring something out in me that I treasure, and together we have unique and wonderful memories.
Just as seedlings need water to grow, so do the relationships in our lives. I hope you’ll take the time to treasure each of your friends. Know that they are in your life to serve a purpose, though that purpose may simply be for you to bless them.
What amazing thing has a friend done for you lately? Do you tell him or her enough how much you treasure them? Happy weekend all, can’t wait to read your thoughts – OH and look out next week for a fun new download, Ciao!
