As baby number three is a bit off in the distance for the Warren family, I felt compelled to live through those of you planning and preparing for your own little one’s arrival. My have things changed since my babies were born (a mere 5 and 2 years ago).

The creativity that goes into the rooms we bring our babies home to makes me absolutely giddy. I’m loving it! I wanted to share today a few favorites I happened upon this weekend. Click the image to go directly to the original articles and read a bit more about them!

We love our nursery so much! It’s changed a good bit since I originally posted about it – toddler bed to twin mattress until we find a bed we love, furniture rearranged, changes in artwork a bit, etc. but it’s generally the same and I still love the color every single time I walk in the room! I’m especially loving the process of change as we watch them grow and make their room into space that works well for them:)

I love looking at nursery ideas! I had a blast creating my daughter’s nursery earlier this year. She’s my first girl after 3 boys. Here’s the post on my blog: http://travandmel.blogspot.com/2010/02/reveal.html

I just recently posted pictures on my blog of my two kids shared nursery/playroom. I have a boy and a girl so it was a challenge to decorate a gender neutral room.

Here’s a link to the nursery we made for my son, who was born last year. It’s become my favorite room in the house.

Beautiful spaces! When I did the nursery for my DS I really wanted something organic looking. I liked the idea of sheep and lambs, it seemed so tranquil and simple. But the idea actually spurred from our paint color- Christopher Robin’s Swing by BEHR. This meadow green color was a perfect backdrop for lots of lambs…especially when mixed with espresso and cream colors. We then hung an eclectic mix of sheep from greeting cards, stuffed animals, and bedding. The lesson? Don’t be too matchy matchy with your nursery decor! Have some fun and pick up stuff along the way!
