For now I took care of most of the counter space. I moved the microwave to a corner on the counter and put a lot of my cookbooks in the pantry off the counter. Wow that made a big difference as far as a cluttery look. My biggest pet peeve is our other kitchen counter that is along side our family room. It collects all sorts of stuff and I have such a hard time keeping up with it. I clear it off and it lasts oh about a day. Uggg. I actually just recently did some reorganizing of my kitchen too. Anyway, today I felt a small surge of energy and the sink is sparkly (except for the chicken that is thawing for tonight's dinner...yea! points for being ahead) and I did 3 loads of laundry. I love reorganizing and decluttering. We just moved. I am trying to do this in every room. I just finished the kitchen, too. You are so right. The blender, toaster, etc. can be hidden somewhere. It was ridiculous they stuff we got rid of that we never use. And oh my goodness the space we have now! Unbelievable! I feel like it took a huge weight was taken off of me. It started because we were unloading the dishwasher & couldn\'t fit all of our glasses in the cabinet. It went down hill (or up hill maybe I should say) from there. We now have a nice collection for Goodwill. Oh, and that darn utensil drawer... The one I nearly rip out of the cabinet every time I open it because it is so full it gets stuck; Fixed him too! I got rid of 2 sets of measuring cups because I had 3 sets & eliminated 5 out of 7 wooden spoons. YAY! It feels so good. Thanks for the post!
