I was really excited about working on this project with Shawna (did you even SEE her wonderful pics in part 1 yesterday????!!!), but I’m going to admit, the execution wasn’t as easy as I had imagined. Not sure what I was thinking about she and I having to wrangle our two kids under age 3 and come up with amazing images in a very short window of time (horrible heat + zero attention span + my husband and two boys showing up in the middle of the shoot). My photography-induced-ADD kicked in, which made it difficult to keep an eye on and protect my child while photographing her at the same time. I did, however, enjoy grabbing some behind-the-scenes stuff. I LOVED how Shawna’s baby girl was so connected to her mommy…every time Shawna would start taking pictures, she’d run over and rest a hand on her shoulder like, “I’m here, Mommy. I’ll protect you. Just do your thing.”
Getting both of our girls in the same frame proved to be difficult for me (big surprise there). But, this counts, right? LOL.
(Um, check out Shawna’s adorable little baby bump
Zozo Bug Baby’s dresses are so adorable. LOVED the mod feel to them!
Even though this wasn’t quite the objective of our session that day, these two above are my absolute favorites. Shawna was born to be a mommy. She is so incredibly domestic and creative and loving. She amazes me (and puts me to shame) with all of the things she does for her family. And I’m fairly certain her baby girl appreciates this with all of her heart.
