I'm cracking up over this! I just stumbled across your blog. I too have a very similar window that I found in a trash heap along the side of the road in Sicily! I loved that window and made my husband take it with us in our car back up to Naples where we were living. That window sat on our deck and is now in a crate crossing the Atlantic waiting to move into our new home in the US. For months I have wondered what to do with it? Use it as a frame, but then which pictures? Just hang it? Or make some sort of hanging shelf with it?! Ack, I don't know what to do. I can't wait to see how yours looks!

Ok! Ok! My commitment isn't about getting something out on display - I commit to threading my serger! I have a wonderful machine passed down to me from my grandparents. A year ago I had a small repair done to it and it has sat, unused, since that time because I HATE THREADING IT. (I'm not good at it). So by the end of the week I'll pull out my instruction video and get that baby threaded so I can accomplish some of my sewing projects.

My photos of my children that are printed, but sitting in a box. My second son is 5 months old and I don't have a single picture up of him in our whole entire house! Thank you for bringing out your window and inspiring us to do the same!

what a treat to read this after a long day at work
and this couldnt come at a better time, for me, it's taking the time to get these things used/hung or put up
sitting in my hallway is a bunch of frames with photos and no time to put them up, or waiting for the perfect spot to put them
thanks angie for this little reminder that your home will not be "totally ready"
this week i commit to hanging these frames up...
