Susan: The only other woman I allow to live in our home.

by Jessica on January 27, 2010

Hi Lovelies,

Iwould rather be deep and thoughtful, inspiring and encouraging when I have the opportunity to share here. But, I have to be honest. I can do nothing else right now, but think and share of ways I’ve been simplifying, organizing, de-cluttering and living life more fully because of it. As you’ll remember I posted about how my only resolution for 2010 was to simplify. Between work and resting with friends and my pillow I have been doing nothing but organizing and simplifying our house. And, I. Am. Loving. It.

So, since I’m on that brain-wave I hope you’ll allow me to share yet another something I’ve done and am continuing to do to make life easier.

Her name is Susan and she’s so darn lazy she makes me giddy.

Some of you Creative Mamas probably already know all about Susan and her lovely ways, but for those of you who do not you must join the club! I use lazy susans in the:

* Medicine closet for meds & sunscreen

* Refrigerator for hummus, yogurt, cheese, sour cream and more (no more getting shoved to the back … with just one swivel you can see it all!)

* Pantry for canned goods

* The small kitchen cabinet above our microwave for spices, EVOO, and more.

* Bathroom closets for toiletry items

* Under the sink for cleaning supplies

Lazy Susans are the fastest, easiest and cheapest way to keep everything in reach and in memory. Shelves are great, but how much stuff gets pushed to the back never to be seen again? Never again with Susan! :0) Grab yourself a lazy one or two and swivel your way to organized giddyness!

OHHHH Great ideas ESPECIALLY for the fridge. Think I’ll be hitting Bed Bath and Beyond in the next couple of days! lol

I use them for my spices. I think I better start putting them in other cupboards!
