The Little Things | Photo Challenge Winner(s)

by martalocklear on October 7, 2009

Wow! What a great response to The Little Things post!

I added the challenge to the end of that post for one main reason and that was to try to prove that your equipment does not make your art…you do. Although the biggest and the best can create images with less grain, have more mega pixels, faster this, bigger that and a flurry of other perks that half of you reading this would never understand…they do not make a great image. The photographer makes the image…and makes it great. iPhone, LG phone, Point & Shoot, Diana Toy Camera or dSLR, none of these truly matter. They are mere mediums to portray a vision. Do not limit your creative eye because of the gear you have. Make your gear work for you.

Only two people guessed the correct iPhone images. It was 4, 5 & 13. Since there were only two correct, I plan on giving both a signed 8×10 of their image of choice. Thank you Liz and Stacy for your attentive eye and contribution to the contest. IMG_0400TCMIMG_0207TCMIMG_0503TCM

Those are great photos you took with your phone! I wish I had seen your post earlier, though I’m sure I wouldn’t have guessed right anyway

Wow! I never win anything! Seriously! :) I’m so excited! lol. I just looked for the ones that lacked depth of field…otherwise you could never tell these were taken with an iPhone…beautiful job as always Marta :). Just one more reason i need an iPhone ;).
