Today we welcome Tsh Oxenreider of SimpleMom.net to The Creative Blogger Series. Tsh’s blog is my go-to place to find organization tips, ideas for simple living, healthy recipes, and homeschooling resources.

How do I use the cash envelope system to handle my family’s budget? What are the benefits of line-drying my laundry? My paper clutter is out of control – what should I do? And got any ideas on how to increase intimacy with my spouse? These questions (and many more) are what Simple Mom is all about. Life hacks for home managers; helping people live more simply and intentionally.
I just had a newborn baby (my second), and we had been living overseas for about a year. I was yearning for a creative outlet, so my husband suggested starting a blog, where I could work on my writing craft. The topic of how to simplify home life was mostly for me, as I jotted down notes for myself, dealing with running a home in a foreign culture.
Quiet mornings, good lighting, the smell of citrus, black coffee, my husband and kids
I love the emails I get from readers, saying that their life has changed because of something from the blog or book. That’s what keeps me going. I also love that it helps support my family, that I can find my creative outlet there, and that I’ve met lifelong friends through my little online space. I’m enormously grateful.
Know WHY you want to blog before you start. It’ll save a lot of disappointment if you admit to your expectations or hopes from the get-go. I shared some of my top blogging tips here: http://simplemom.net/blogging-tips/
To keep going deep — in content, in community, in usefulness and inspiration. I’ve taken a year off from going wide — no new launches or ideas — so I’m just letting those percolate and take a back seat until 2012.
I have a book. You can see it here — http://organizedsimplicity.net
