Weekend Links: January 28, 2012

I spent a good part of this weekend making Jello shots.  For work, I swear.  It reminded me of my days in college, and how much fun I used to have.  I still have a lot of fun, don’t get me wrong, but it is a very different kind of fun.  My fun these days is more wholesome, less out on the town, more snuggling on the couch.  Scooping out limes for margarita jello shots had me thinking about that time of my life.  Even though, it was so fun, I would not trade this time for that time, for anything in the world.  I like myself a lot more now.  I am more confident, stronger, and less self-loathing.  Do you miss the days of your youth?

I find it difficult to believe that it is already the last weekend in January, even though my calendar clearly says that it is.  Here is what I am looking at this weekend:

1.  I have been reading this book, and I have found some very useful bits of information in here.  In the quest to live a more efficient, organized, and frugal life, this book is proving helpful.  And, it was written by bloggers.  Even better.

2.  I need to take this to heart.  I am terrible at keeping my books.  I have started using this website, and it is amazing.  My accountant loves it too.

3.  I am buying copious amounts of Pop Rocks this weekend to make this Valentine for my 2nd grader.  Finding cute boy Valentine’s is hard, and this one is perfect.  Need another cute boy Valentine idea?

4.  Super Bowl Sunday is a week away.  Here is a list of some crazy delicious looking dips for your party.  The corn one?  I need it in my life.

5.  How is your photo a day coming?  I am loving capturing the little moments in my life.  I am so happy to be doing this project this year.

What are you loving this weekend?
